NextGenOpt

Next Generation Sector-Coupling Models for Optimal Investments and Operation

We hear a lot about the importance of efficient, reliable and sustainable energy for the future. But how can this be achieved? The main goal of this project, NextGenOpt, is to facilitate the decision-making process towards this future energy system.

What are we trying to achieve and how?

In this project, we will develop computationally efficient models and algorithms. We will also consider the coupling between electricity, heat and hydrogen, while including key system flexibility and reliability constraints and societal objectives. All of this will help us gain a better insight into how we can work towards a more sustainable energy system.
