Code underlying the publication: Assessing Clinical Feasibility of Evolutionary Therapy in metastatic NSCLC
Description
This repository contains the code, virtual patient data, and precomputed simulation outputs used to assess the clinical feasibility of evolutionary cancer therapy (ECT) in patients with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) treated with Osimertinib. The study uses the polymorphic Gompertzian model to simulate heterogeneous tumor dynamics in 100 virtual patients and compares adaptive treatment protocols under clinically realistic monitoring constraints.
The analyses evaluate how treatment performance changes with varying imaging intervals, stochastic appointment delays, and measurement error. The repository includes the tumor growth model, virtual patient parameter sets, simulation scripts, stored simulation results, and the main analysis notebook used to calculate time to progression, assess protocol robustness, perform sensitivity analyses, and generate the study figures.
