Urban-M5

Building upon the Urban-M4 projects in which we developed the streetscapes package for downloading and segmenting streetview imagery, this project aims to develop a graphical interface to browse and inspect the results of those segmentations in a web browser.

To this end, the project introduced the Bring Your Own Backend Architecture: the frontend is a static web page hosted, in this case, on GitHub pages. The backend is running locally at the researchers computer. This is a nice way to provide a consistent and low-maintenance interface research software that requires little expertise on web development from the research side.
